Imagine coming home to a cozy log cabin after an exhilarating day exploring Pittsburg’s scenic trail system. Include one of our delicious dinners and you have an idea of what snowmobiling is like at Tall Timber Lodge. Outstanding meals, clean and comfortable accommodations, and personal service make Tall Timber Lodge the premier destination in northern New Hampshire.

Our snowmobile season normally begins in mid December and continues into early April. We are located on New Hampshire’s State Corridor Trails #5 and #20, connecting you to hundreds of miles of groomed trails accessible from your cabin door. You can ride to Maine or have lunch in Canada and be back at the lodge for a delicious dinner at the Rainbow Grille.

Snowmobiling is serious fun in this area, and this is a place for people to ride and see nature up close. There is an abundance of deer and moose, so don’t be surprised to round a corner only to find a brown, four-legged obstacle standing in your path. If the creature happens to be a moose, proceed with caution!

The local snowmobiling club along with the State of New Hampshire’s grooming program maintain the trails to provide visitors with trails that are well groomed and well signed. Pittsburg Ridge Runners memberships, oil, trail maps and NH registrations are sold at the Lodge. A New Hampshire registration entitles you to ride throughout the state. The Polaris dealer is located two miles away in Pittsburg, while the SkiDoo dealer is located thirty minutes south in Colebrook.

For those that prefer the convenience of renting, please see our information on our Rentals here at Tall Timber. We will offer Polaris single and touring models and Ski Doo single models for the 2011 season.  Not only are half and full day snowmobile rentals available to our guests, but we also offer economical mid-week packages as well.  Come and see how Tall Timber is truly the winter destination for you!
