Imagine coming home to a cozy log cabin after an exhilarating day exploring Pittsburgs scenic trail system. Include one of our home cooked dinners and you have an idea of what snowmobiling is like at Tall Timber. Hearty meals, clean and comfortable accommodations, and personal service make Tall Timber Lodge the premier snowmobiling destination in the north country.
Our snowmobile season normally begins the day after Christmas and continues into early April. We are located on New Hampshires State Corridor Trails #5 and #20, connecting you to hundreds of miles of groomed trails accessible from your cabin door. You can ride to Maine or have lunch in Canada and be back at the lodge for a hearty home cooked dinner.
Snowmobiling is serious fun in this area, and this is a place for people to ride and see nature up close. There is an abundance of deer and moose, so dont be surprised to round a corner only to find a brown, four-legged obstacle standing in your path. If the creature happens to be a moose, proceed with caution!
The local snowmobiling club along with the State of New Hampshires grooming program maintain the trails to provide visitors with trails that are well groomed and well signed. Gas, oil, trail maps and registrations are sold at The Lodge. A New Hampshire registration entitles you to ride throughout the state and and on the Vermont/New Hampshire Commerce Trail.
The Arctic Cat and Polaris dealers are located a few miles away in Pittsburg, while the SkiDoo dealer is located thirty minutes south in Colebrook.
