From Manchester, NH: North on I-93 past Franconia Notch. Take Exit 35 to Route 3 North all the way to Pittsburg. Approximately 180 miles and 3¼ to 3½ hours.

From Boston, MA: North on I-93 past Franconia Notch. Exit 35 to Route 3 North all the way to Pittsburg. Approximately 230 miles and 4½ hours.

From New York City: North on I-95 to New Haven; then North on I-91 to either:
1. Exit 20 in St. Johnsbury, VT; then Route 2 to Lancaster, NH; then Route 3 to Pittsburg. Approximately 415 miles and 8 hours; or,
2. Exit 23 in Lyndonville, VT; then Route 5 to Route 114 to West Stewartstown, NH; then Route 3 to Pittsburg. A more scenic route through rural VT. However, in the winter we recommend Exit 20.

Tall Timber Lodge is located on Beach Rd, on the northern shore of Back Lake.

Once you arrive in the village of Pittsburg, you have two options to travel to Tall Timber. Shortly after a church and across from the town park you will see a "Top Gas" sign at the Trading Post Country Store (1), from there you can:
  1. Turn left onto Back Lake Road and continue for approximately 2 ½ miles until you see the Tall Timber sign on the corner of Beach Road, bear right, and continue a short distance to Tall Timber (3); or you can,
  2. Continue straight on Route 3 North for approximately 3 ½ miles until you see the Tall Timber sign on the corner of Beach Road (2), turn left and continue on Beach Road for one mile to Tall Timber (3).
The Back Lake location of Angler's Cove (4) and Bess (5) are also indicated on the above map.
